![]() If other of you may have same problem as mine, try older version of Desktop Video Setup, below 12.0. ![]() In conclusion for those who planning to buy Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 I highly encourage to find other alternatives like the thunderbolt version or even other brand. The Intensity Shuttle is detected on the macbook pro and can be used as normal using desktop video setup 11.7 but both iMac wont detect it. All three running MacOS Big Sur 11.2.3 (I kinda forgot the version but I am sure that they running the same version). In one occasion I got two iMac with me and one macbook pro (like late 2014 or so). But even this solution may not help sometimes. The one thing that seems work for me is using Desktop Video Setup version 11.7 or lower. As I am writing this post the problem also came up in Mac OS Big Sur (I have tried it many times). I am using Desktop Video Setup version 12.0 and it is no longer have support for intensity shuttle USB 3.0. The thing is that Black Magic is now not supporting Intensity Shuttle with USB 3.0 as it is reach it end of life. So after a few weeks on this, I finally found the Issues. |_ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/8p, 480M : Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci-pci/3p, 480M |_ Port 8: Dev 6, If 1, Class=Video, Driver=uvcvideo, 480M |_ Port 8: Dev 6, If 0, Class=Video, Driver=uvcvideo, 480M |_ Port 7: Dev 5, If 0, Class=Wireless, Driver=btusb, 12M |_ Port 7: Dev 5, If 1, Class=Wireless, Driver=btusb, 12M |_ Port 6: Dev 4, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=, 12M |_ Port 2: Dev 3, If 1, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 12M |_ Port 2: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 12M |_ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=, 480M Unifying Receiverīus 002 Device 002: ID 1edb:bd3b Blackmagic design Intensity Shuttleīus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root lsusb -t VFS 5011 fingerprint sensorīus 002 Device 003: ID 046d:c534 Logitech, Inc. Unfortunately Pop!OS defaulted using systemd-boot instead of grub.So any advice for me? Here is a few things that may help. Other forums says that I have to add some code in /etc/default/grub. Unfortunately that's not the case for me. I have tried to install libbmusb-devas for a view forums says it worked. But after restart the device is not recognized by Desktop Video software. deb package provided by blackmagic on their support site. One thing I'm happy about is that it automatically adds pulldown for sources that need it when you're set at 1080p 23.976, so I can have both an HDSDI signal going out to the grading monitor at the same time as HDMI out to a large consumer HDTV.I have a blackmagic intensity shuttle (usb 3.0) and running on thinkpad x250 with Pop!OS 20.04 installed. ![]() Perhaps the uninstall step was important, I'm not sure, but you could try that (and also 10.1.4 may have fixed some more issues). Then, it proceeded as normal, and did a firmware update which apparently is needed for version 10.x. I actually made a call into support in case there would be any problems during the update, and they actually walked me through uninstalling 9.9.3 with its uninstaller in the dmg. ![]() I'm on OS X 10.9.4 and the latest FCPX 10.1.3. I have a Decklink 4K Extreme in a Sonnet PCIe Thunderbolt 2 chassis. I just upgraded to Desktop Video 10.1.4 from being on 9.9.3 for a while, and all went well except for a known issue (10.x versions have a problem with capturing 1080p60 video, which only a few cards of their support). ![]()
